BHRT Safety
Medical facts clarify the confusion:
Whenever there has been a report of the negative impact of hormones, it has always been from synthetic hormones, not bioidentical hormones.
Misinformation about hormone therapy should not deter you from the significant health benefits of hormone balance. The confusion surrounding hormone therapy can be clarified with medical facts and an understanding of the difference between synthetic and bioidentical hormones.
The hormones used by Dr. Selma are bioidentical, meaning chemically the same as those produced by your own body. Because they are molecularly identical, your body benefits from them in exactly the same way.

The hormones initially prescribed by doctors were synthetic versions, chemically different than what the body produces and manufactured by pharmaceutical companies. These molecularly altered versions are patentable, and were marketed as safe, though they have repeatedly been shown to cause harm.
BHRT and Breast Cancer
-
No study to date has shown a link between any form of estrogen and an increase in breast cancer.
-
Synthetic progesterone is the only hormone shown in studies to be linked to an increase in breast cancer. (The Million Women Study from the University of Oxford and the study from The Women’s Health Initiative.)
-
Bioidentical progesterone, on the other hand, has long been believed to be protective for the breast.

BHRT and Blood Clots
-
Studies have shown that oral estrogen—not the topical cream used by Dr. Selma—causes an increased risk of blood clots, which can result in heart attacks, stroke, pulmonary embolism.

You’ll find more on the safety of BHRT in Dr. Selma's book: The Truth Behind Hormone Replacement Therapy.
